One surface.
Many possibilities.

The face

The area that holds the shape. Leave it open so the light can describe it.

The joint

The narrow place that connects two different directions.

The whole

A small system, made readable by its parts.

Look at the whole.

Three planes meet around one narrow connection.

Give each part space.

Follow the outer edges of the three faces.

Read the connection.

The yellow joint is the shared line between them.

Read the fold.

A ridge toward you.

The outside faces rise to meet. Follow the dash-and-dot line on the net.

A crease away from you.

The inside faces make a shallow valley. Follow the dashed line on the net.

Keep the difference clear.

From screen
to a sheet of paper.

The downloadable net is an art exercise. Print on paper, trim the outline and crease by hand. It is not a load-bearing part or a manufacturing drawing.

  1. Print the net at a size that fits your paper.
  2. Cut the outer edge carefully.
  3. Fold along the marked lines.
  4. Look at the shape from a lower angle.

Fold. Look. Unfold.

What paper should I use?

Start with ordinary paper you can fold comfortably by hand. The illustration does not specify structural strength or material tolerances.

Can I edit the net?

Yes. The SVG contains editable lines and shapes. Keep a copy of the original before changing the fold positions.
